The IBES researcher Maria Riegler and Katharina de Melo provide in collaboration with Anna Burton and Markus Scholz a more complete understanding of the antecedents of company engagement in business partnerships for sustainability.

Based on the Awareness-Motivation-Capabilities (AMC) framework of Stadtler and Lin (2017), the paper provides a conceptual advancement, investigating potential differences in business size, industry-specific motivational factors as well as microlevel aspects.
