Nils Kruse moderated the event and led an engaging and informative discussion. We thank Walter Hatak, Peter Bartsch, and Daniela Ortiz Avram for their valuable insights and contributions to this important topic. Their participation significantly contributed to the success of the event. The RML discussion addressed the challenges and opportunities associated with responsible innovation. Ethical responsibility and the societal impact of innovations were also topics of discussion.
On March 30th, the second Responsible Management Lecture focused on collaboration in the construction sector. We thank the esteemed speakers, Anna-Vera Deinhammer from ÖGNI and Katharina Aspalter from STRABAG, who opened the event with two brief presentations. Subsequently, Daniela Ortiz Avram facilitated an engaging discussion with the two experts, shedding light on different aspects of intra-company, inter-company, and cross-industry collaboration in the construction sector. The discussion underscored the significant impact of the construction sector on ecological, economic, and social domains. Approaches to fostering sustainable practices in the construction sector through collaboration among companies, practitioners, and regulatory bodies were explored. The importance of knowledge transfer and exchange of best practices was also emphasised.
Responsible Management Lectures provide a unique platform for discussing sustainability challenges, opportunities, and best practices in responsible management. They foster dialogue among academics, practitioners, and decision-makers, contributing to innovative solutions for a sustainable future. We look forward to engaging in further inspiring discussions next semester, exploring topics such as sustainability and responsible management.
